I purchased a car in the coin mall, why doesn't it show up in the select car screen?

The items purchased from the coin mall are not cars, they are parts.

These parts can be used to build the car specified when you receive them, or can be saved and used to upgrade existing cars.

NOTE: If you already have the specified car, the parts will automatically be saved to your inventory.
